Born and raised in a middle class family in Iran, I left Iran in 2008. I have worked and studied in 3 continents and three sectors. Currently I am a PhD candidate in Finance at City University of New York, where I teach finance as an adjunct faculty. I am also an associate fellow at the Center on Sanctions and Illicit Finance, Foundation for Defense of Democracies with a specialization on Iran’s economy and politics and the effects of terrorism and political unrest on financial markets.
